Random act of kindness

October random act of kindness. Meet Scott. He is homeless and handicap (lost his leg after injury at work). I had a 45-minute conversation with Scott over 2 hotdogs and soda. Most of us drive by the people that ask for money because they are homeless, but since I had no cash on me I asked him if he is hungry and would like to eat. He answered yes. So we went to have a meal and chat. There was a lot that I have learned about him and his story and his plan how he is trying to get his life back in order. But what he most #thankful for was, of course, the meal, socks, sweater, and advise how he can make his crutches more comfortable, but most importantly he was #grateful for my time. He said that I was the first person that actually wanted to talk to him and know more without judging and "it was nice to be treated like a human being, not homeless beggar" that was his words.

So moral of this story - not always people need material things, sometimes just simple gesture like smile or attention can make someone's day!

And we have his permission to share the picture!
